Response to We the People Petition on House of Representatives Resolution 121
Thank you for your petition on House of Representatives Resolution 121.
The trafficking of women for sexual purposes during World War II was an egregious violation of human rights. As President Obama has said, “it is in the interest of both Japan and the Korean people to look forward as well as backwards and to find ways in which the heartache and the pain of the past can be resolved, because…the interests today of the Korean and Japanese people so clearly converge.” We encourage Japan to continue to address this issue in a manner that promotes healing and facilitates better relations with neighboring states. We also emphasize the importance of treating surviving women with dignity and respect.

China and Korean peninsula conspire with each other to stigmatise Japan as an unethical people.US-Japan make an alliance, so we are careful not to be deceived. It’s not a matter of human rights.

Response to We the People Petition on Liancourt Rocks
Thank you for your petition on the Liancourt Rocks. The U.S. government’s policy for decades has been not to take a position regarding sovereignty over the Liancourt Rocks. This is a long-standing dispute, that Korea and Japan have handled with restraint in the past. We expect that they will continue to do so. We would welcome any outcome agreed to by both Korea and Japan.
South Korea isn’t allied nation with US.IT belongs to China even in its historical view. They have been often betraying allied nations. It arbitrarily occupied Liancourt Rocks without clear evidence to possess that island. MacArthur, the former ambassador to Japan , his secret telegram prove Liancourt Rocks belong to Japan.
